Guide
What a website costs
Real numbers for 2026, taken from published prices in Tijuana and San Diego, so you know what's fair before you ask for quotes.
In San Diego, agencies publish ranges from about $500 for a template site to $25,000 and more for a custom one. SEO for a small business there usually costs $500–2,500 a month.
In Tijuana and the rest of Mexico prices are lower. Local studios publish websites from about €1,000, and marketing agencies charge monthly retainers of roughly 9,000–33,000 pesos plus IVA, often with the website billed separately.
Pay-monthly websites are growing in the US: $0 upfront and about $199–349 a month for at least 12 months, with hosting and edits included. Over three years that can cost more than buying the site outright.
What changes the price most: the number of pages, whether the text is written for you, a second language, booking or quote forms, and SEO work. A one-page site with your own text is cheap; a bilingual site with a page per service and per city takes weeks.
My prices are published: sites from $900, $2,500 and $4,500, or $149 a month with nothing upfront. There is a calculator on the packages page.
Questions
Why are San Diego agencies so expensive?
Higher salaries and rent, account managers and sales teams, and often the agency's brand. A small studio across the border can do the same technical work for less.
Is a cheap template site enough?
For a new business with one service, often yes. If you want traffic from Google in two languages, you need separate pages for services and areas, and templates rarely do that well.
Do I also pay for hosting and a domain?
A domain costs about $15–20 a year. Hosting for a fast modern site usually costs from $0 to $20 a month depending on traffic; I tell you the exact cost before we start.
